Fantasy Bedrooms

I've been on Elle Decor all afternoon looking at various contemporary bedroom styles, kind of trying to come up with something I'd like for when I have my own place with mine. Here are some nice celebrity bedrooms. I love white and natural light - lots of it. But it needs to stay at bay till noon! Especially if you live in a warm climate - like I do. I'm also - I've realised - to a great extent, a minimalist. I don't like clutter. Yet, I want a room with a little seating area, coffee table for two, a nice big bed, a bookshelf, perhaps a shag rug, some nice pieces on the wall, sophisticated lights (nothing too glaring) and big windows to illuminate the room during the day.

Playing house...

So in my spare time I like to look at house stuff. Furniture, decor, different ways of doing up a room - you get it! That was when I came across this. I was looking for a decorative tree... something that could be in a central area, inside, or out in a patio - and say something, be a statement piece. I think I've fallen in love with this idea! Growing up I was obsessed with evil eyes. I had (and still have) bracelets, pendants, key chains, earrings, you name it! This will do a great job of warding off evil and also looking beautiful as the sunlight come streaking through the myriad shades of blue glass.

I'm thinking a smaller tree, potted or put in the ground, with glass pebbles around it, something zen, but not. If/when I ever do this, I'll be sure to put a picture up. For now, it's just castles in the air!

Rainbow Fantasy

So I'm feelin' chirpy and bright today... if I was a colour I would be neon pink! and I would smell of strawberries and champagne :) And if I could be doing anything it would be...

a good book, mypod, and other bits and bobs :)

Fantasy numero uno

Don't get me wrong, I'm super happy with my life, where it is, where I'm headed and all that jazz... but I would be SO happy if...

I lived in a house like this... on the beach!

 

with an infinity pool like this so I could swim all day

scattered around my giganamous house!) where I could enjoy
