So today I turned another year older, with 26 years behind me I feel like I'm a little stuck in life. I'm not moving in any forward direction, rather spinning round slowly while remaining almost stationery. At my age, my mom was a happily married mother of two. I've done a cool degree, made some good friends, battled some nasty experiences, fallen in and out of love, tried my hand at a couple of jobs - but I haven't yet done anything concrete with my life.
Still, when I look back I see a rainbow of memories that decorate my existence. Things I wouldn't give up, experiences I wouldn't trade for the world. I still have (hopefully) a long way to go, and I'm excited for what awaits me. I slip up, I make mistakes, I get impatient and nervous about what the future holds in store... sometimes I don't give as much time to the people who deserve it, but I live and I learn. Every day, every dawn, brings with it something new, and I hope this year will bring with it something new, something fresh, something different!
