So...

I shattered my iPod touch screen on Thursday and had to send it for repair and was muchos upset! looks like someone nazrofied (looked at it with an evil eye) it :( It's fixed now!

Work has been working me to the bone as I launched a brand of men's jeans into the local Pakistani market. the orders just keep coming in and the fact that they want my designs is flattering beyond belief - so I guess the work pays off.

then there's the issue of applying to universities for my masters for 2014 - given the apocalypse holds off until then. oh and I woke up feeling like I have a terrible hangover today. anddd it's Sunday! roarrr!

so here I am, lying in bed, being lazy while i can, enjoying quality time with my bed and duvet. think i'll also go play with dexter - my dog - because I couldn't give him much time yesterday.

in the mean time, here's some random stuff I came across on 9gag and liked...

De-stressing

So lately I haven't been feeling a hundred percent. A lot of things were contributing to this... heat, dehydration, bad work conditions, increased responsibility and therefore pressure at work, stresses in my personal life, not knowing what to do next or which direction to head in. For the past few days my kidneys had really begun to hurt and after doing some research and also talking to a couple of people I realised the damage could be irreparable. So, in an effort to salvage them, I started drinking more water, I try to do 2-3 km of interval training 4 times a week at minimum to stay fit and work on my stamina and general feeling of well-being but the problems persisted.

Lately I'd been fatigued, not sleeping well, nauseous, had a lack of appetite, headaches, dizzy, body and joint pains - honestly it sounded like I'd aged fifty years! My friend's a doctor - got a list of tests to get done, cbc, tsh, etc. but everything was, thankfully, normal. So what's the problem I asked? Her response... "probably just stress".

I blog to vent. And perhaps I need to do more of it. I feel like other people don't always understand how I feel, and sometimes they are either sick of listening to me whine and complain or they just don't have the time. And I can't blame them. I also get sick of folks who keep crying over spilt milk that has dried up and become a stinky curdled mess! "Cry a river, build a bridge, and get over it!" Unless you have a blog and want to whine into this blackhole of an abyss. And honestly, who really cares about other peoples problems? Don't we all have a bunch of our own to worry about? Those who want to entertain themselves with random ramblings of a sometimes drama queen who over analyses things, can be super sensitive and is almost always right are warned... the doc says I need to de-stress. You are the people that are going to get a lot of juicy blogposts in the near future! Don't worry - I keep the real boring stuff tucked safely away in a journal - but I'm quite the storyteller - so I'll take the good bits and mince them into something worth reading! Good for you - fun stuff to waste time on, good for me - out of my system!

Since I promised myself not to get too personal here you might not even be able to tell when and where I'm doing it - the venting! Woohoo! Oh and also - I'll be writing some fictional stories inspired by some of my friends. They've had some interesting life experiences but since I don't want to expose them and their colourful natures - we'll just let it be "fiction inspired by somewhat true events, slightly exaggerated and given a better ending!"

My mom forwarded this to me this morning

I guess it's kinda cute slash funny...?

UNIQUE LOVE STORYThe love story of Ron and Edna.

Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean
they don't love you with all they have.
Ron and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were
walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ron suddenly jumped into the deep
end. He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.

Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out.
When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna heroic act she immediately
ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to
be mentally stable.

When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad
news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to
rationally
respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you
love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness. The bad
news is, Ron hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right
after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'

Edna replied (and I think you'll love this)
..
..
..
..
..

'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?'
